IMPORTANCE OF FAVOUR TO CHRISTIAN’S JOURNEY

by | Feb 23, 2020 | Sermon

TEXT:     LUKE 5:1-7, PSALM 44:3; 5:12, LUKE 2:52

Righteousness precedes God’s favor. One day of favor can terminate a lifetime of labor. As Christians, we must walk in favor and not in labor.

Favor directs your path to distinction, it is the flavor of life and it brings sweetness. If you are favored by God, He will be your guide and keep you from all untimely death.

Favor turns labor to pleasure. If you are in labor, all efforts will amount to nothing. Righteousness is the key to receiving God’s favor.

BENEFITS OF ENJOYING GOD’S FAVOR

  1. It singles you out for blessing: If you are favored by God, you need not to beg or look unto men for help.
  2. It makes your instrument to be relevant. Luke 5:6
  3. It makes our neighbor to rejoice with us. Luke 5:7

PEREQUISITE TO RECEIVING GOD’S FAVOR

  1. Soul Winning
  2. Giving
  3. Obedience

CONCLUSION

As Christians, we must not only work for God but also walk with Him in holiness. While holiness precedes righteousness, righteousness precedes God’s favor.  God encompasses His children with favor.
