FATHER’S DAY CELEBRATION; I AM THE MIRROR

by | Jun 21, 2020 | Sermon

Bible Reading: Ephesians 6:4

“Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the lord”.

This sermon will lay more emphasis on ‘Training and Instruction’

If your son can’t boldly say ”I want to be like my father, then you are a cracked mirror”. When you as a man cannot say you want your daughter to marry a man like you then you are not a mirror.
A father is a man who is present, observable and who can say follow me therefore be a mirror to your children so that the blessings of God can be your portion.

Laying emphasis on instruction and training; Instruction is the act of furnishing with information and knowledge. Proverbs 24:3-6. Those who becomes great are informed. Instruction is imparting your child through learning.
Training on the other hand is the practical aspect of learning. It is key, for talents are wasted when there are no trainers. Every trainers are mentors. Every father should be a trainer. No matter how a child is being trained , he needs a father so he doesn’t get destroyed along the line. Training takes place in a home while teaching takes place in school. Trainers have skills to the already existing knowledge they have.

Genesis 18:17. Every father is a friend of God. If God sees a father figure in you,he doesn’t hide anything from you.
Therefore, If you don’t instruct and train your children, your future is not bright and can be destroyed by your children. A child you refuse to nurture cannot nourish you.

All fathers must be a literature to their children. Schooling makes you great but literature guarantees your future. 1 Corinthians 4:14-17. A behavioural scientist once said ” The problem of any nation is not economy or politics, it is the absence of a father in a nation.

In conclusion, you can’t outsmart a mirror, therefore, Be a father, Be a mirror.
