TOPIC: A RESERVED PORTION

by | Nov 1, 2020 | Sermon

BIBLE READING: 1 Samuel 9:22-25
Reserved portion are mostly kept for the last, the previous months might not be fair to you but something good is coming in this last months for you in Jesus name Amen. Your background is very important in attaining greatness, if you can’t come down to do some dirty things you remain empty and can’t get to the top. Mentality of a man determines who he is, Saul was an handsome man yet he take up the dirty job his father sent him, from place to place he went looking for his father asses, Verse 6 of the passage shows how Saul servant encourage him to keep on searching, “you need people to go far in life”, there is no new road in this life, where you are someone has passed it before, so your relationship with people matters a lot in getting your reserved portion.
FOUR (4) KIND OF PEOPLE YOU NEED TO GET TO THE TOP
1. YOUR PARENTS
No matter what happen never put away your parent advice especially when it is in line with the scripture. “They can bring you down and can take you there”. Saul obeys his Father in verse (3) of the passage.
2. SERVANT
Treat your servant well, treat people with dignity and honor, if you are somewhere today and some are not there it is by grace not that you are the best. “The one who carries your bag today can carry you tomorrow”. In verse 6 and 7 of the passage we can see the good relationship of Saul and his servant.
3. OPPOSITE SEX
“As a great man there is no way you won’t meet ladies on your journey to the top, but what you do with them is very important to your own life in getting the preserved portion, everything you see and you are not careful with it might sink you, if you lose your focus you remain forfeit for life, in verse 11 of the passage it shows how Saul and his servant met with some ladies on their way.
4. PASTORS
There is a particular person God has assigned to minister goodwill to your life, in verse 15 of the passage we see how God has spoken to Samuel about Saul before he came.
There is a reserved portion for you, but be careful in claiming it. “Your root determines your fruit”. You can lose your destined blessing when God sent a pastor to you but you are not in alignment with the grace. There are people that will never get their reserved portion till they die because they are not on the line to attaining it. For the end of things are better than the beginning.
